I love Australian Rules Football. I always have. Don’t ask me why. I started watching it over 25 years ago, and I still watch every chance I get. I think it has to do with the fast pace of the sport, and the fact that several things happen all at one. Maybe it’s the fact that the final series lasts from March to September, that’s 22 weeks. Who knows.

One thing I look forward to each year are the AFL Finals. This year they are being held in Melbourne, Australia. Oh man, I really want to go to Australia one day. I had a chance 11 years ago, to work at a hotel in New Zealand. My plan was to work down there for a year or two and travel to Australia on holiday and stay in hotels in Melbourne, Sidney, and Brisbane. Sometimes I could kick myself for not taking that job offer.

Although I won’t get the chance to see any of the finals in person, if you are in the area, or you want to be, you should check out Melbourne hotels. They are quite reasonably priced too.

Me? I’ll be sittin’ here, kickin’ back, watching as much Australian Rules Football on my television as I can, dreaming of staying in a hotel in Melbourne and watching the games live, in person at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, in Australia.
