Kenny Wallace To Drive #45 At Bristol
Kenny Wallace cracks me up. While it sucks that Kyle Petty won’t be sitting in the #45, it will be good to see Kenny on the track again.
Kenny Wallace will fill in for Kyle Petty in the No. 45 Dodge in Saturday night’s Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Petty’s broken hand again will keep him out of the driver’s seat for the second consecutive week. Petty is hopeful to return to the car at the California Speedway.
Wallace will be making his 20th Cup start at Bristol this weekend. He has two top-10 finishes at the track and one pole. Wallace also has a Busch Series win at the track.
I bet Kyle Petty won’t be smacking any more doors for a while.

I like Kenny Wallace. I don’t know any other driver that makes me laugh like he does. I just wish he could run in the front more often.
Furniture Row Racing announced Tuesday that Kenny Wallace stepped down as the driver of No. 78 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.
Officials for the team stated that Wallace will remain with the team as a consultant and will be called upon to run races as needed, but that he will also be available to drive for another team.
Wallace, who sits 43rd in the Nextel Cup Series points standings, qualified for nine points races this season, with a best finish of 21st at Bristol in March.
I wonder what “other team” he might drive for? Any ideas?
