Kyle Busch Better Get Fined
It was a typical Bristol race. Good drivers got caught up in bad wrecks, someone got bumped towards the end, and tempers flared. I love races at Bristol.
Edwards saw Busch lead 415 consecutive laps Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, then used his bumper to nudge Busch in the first turn on lap 470. That move caused Busch’s car to wiggle just enough so that Edwards could drive by for his second consecutive victory on the NASCAR Spring Cup Series.
Poor Kyle Busch was so upset he tried to smash Edwards from the side and Edwards showed him who was boss. Again. For someone leading the points race and a contender for the championship, he’s not acting very champion like.
After taking the checkered flag, Edwards was making his cool-down lap around the track when Busch drove up and bumped his car. Edwards clearly wasn’t amused, and when he responded by driving the nose of his car into the right side of Busch’s, the fans cheered wildly.
Let’s see NASCAR be consistent with this one.
Kyle Busch Wins Again. Rinse. Repeat.
Man, I have to say, for a road race, today’s race was pretty good. Lots of action, a bit of excitement, one big wreck, and a typical ending.
After rivals Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon said during the week they thought he was slipping following two straight lackluster finishes, Busch answered by making NASCAR history on Sunday. He led 52 laps from the pole and won the Centurion Boats at The Glen at Watkins Glen International to become the first driver in NASCAR’s history to win three road course races in one season.
I got some really good screen shots I need to pull from my DVR tomorrow, of the wreck, hopefully I will have time to post those tomorrow. Needless to say, the slogan showing on the banner, with the wreck below, had me chuckling out loud.
Let’s hope Bobby Labonte is going to be okay too.
Kyle Busch Wins… Again… and Again.
Whoa. Now that was a finish. I could care less about the rest of the race, but tonight’s finish at Chicagoland was worth the wait. They restarted with two to go, and Kyle Busch pulled it out again! Jimmie Johnson wasn’t happy either, he was mad at himself for screwing up the restart. Kyle also won the Nationwide race yesterday.
Great finish to an otherwise pretty boring race. Kyle has won 7 races in the Sprint Cup, and 5 in the Nationwide series. If I was anyone on his team I would be watching for spies trying to figure out their secret to success.

I thought the race this past weekend was quite interesting. The biggest surprise was listening to the crowd cheer for Kyle Busch. Talk about weird.
Busch won his fifth Sprint Cup Series race of the season Sunday when he rolled to victory at Infineon Raceway. With his first road course win, the newcomer and crew chief Steve Addington have grabbed as many victories as teammates Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart have combined for since the start of the 2007 season.
Congratulations Kyle. It looks like you are going to continue to show JGR what a good move they made. Good on you.

Dover Plus COT Equals Bored Out Of My Mind
Other than the wreck on the 18th lap, the race at Dover was another sleeper. I am getting so bored with watching the races. I find the daily Rowdy podcast to be much more entertaining than just about any part of the race.
Kyle Busch revels in his role as NASCAR’s villain. He enjoys his role as the top driver so much more. Busch was simply sensational again, dominating the second half of the 400-mile race Sunday at Dover International Speedway and racing to his Sprint Cup series-best fourth win of the season.
Busch made it 10 victories total this season, including two in the Craftsman Truck Series and four in the Nationwide Series. He won for the third time in the last five Cup races.
Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Greg Biffle were in or near the top three for the entire race. Weeeee. How fun. No, it wouldn’t have been any different if any of the drivers I follow were one of those three. It sucked. If I wanted to watch all the cars do the same thing for hours on end, I would go sit and watch cars drive down the interstate and pretend I am at the Georgia 5,000 or something.
Is anyone else bored with the races lately or is it just me?

Kyle Busch Is On Fire
I have to admit, Kyle Busch has been very impressive lately. Of course, he hasn’t finished well in all races, but heck, he’s doing a damn good job this season. The best move for Kyle was signing with Joe Gibbs Racing.
Kyle Busch likes an unobstructed view at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Busch on Thursday claimed the pole for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, clocking 185.433 miles per hour in a Toyota Camry.
The 23-year-old’s time of 29.12 seconds on Friday gave him a clean sweep of the three qualifying events that have been held at this 1.5-mile tri-oval over the last week. Busch also won the poles here last Friday for the Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 and the Sprint All-Star Race.
I still can’t get over this seasons “mediocrity”, but I will be watching on Sunday.

Kyle Busch Captures Pole For All-Star Race
Is Kyle Busch on fire this season or what? Not only has he won 8 races throughout NASCAR this season, but now he has captured the pole for the All-Star race. Will there be more drama on the track this year?
Kyle Busch needed an inch, and big brother wouldn’t give it to him.
The result?
Two cars in the wall and a family feud that lasted the rest of the year.
That wreck in the final segment of last year’s All-Star race nearly destroyed the relationship between Kurt and Kyle Busch. They hardly spoke to each other for almost seven months.
…
The Busch brothers are back at the scene of the accident this weekend, and at very different stages of their careers. As they head into Saturday night’s $1 million showdown, Kurt Busch has slipped off the radar while his little brother has rocketed to NASCAR stardom.
Kyle has eight wins this season spanning NASCAR’s top three series and leads the Sprint Cup Series standings. Kurt has just one top-10 finish this season and is 22nd in the points.
We like drama. Don’t we?

Kyle Busch Wins At Darlington
Congratulations to Kyle Busch for winning at Darlington this weekend.
The crowd booed him. He called his car pathetic. His crew missed a lug nut, and he couldn’t stay off Darlington Raceway’s wall.
Despite it all, Kyle Busch found Victory Lane once again.
NASCAR’s least popular driver raced to his third Sprint Cup Series victory of the season Saturday night, winning a battle of attrition at the track “Too Tough to Tame.”
“How many times did I hit the wall? I don’t know, one, two, three, four, probably five or six,” Busch said. “I’ve got to thank my team, they build them as strong as they can for me, ‘cause I like to knock the walls down with them.”
Good guys don’t always finish first!

An Unexpected Ending At Richmond
Did you see the race at Richmond? To be honest, I completely forgot it was on. Yeah, I know, my bad. Thank goodness for the DISH DVR though, because I got to sit down and watch it, and I even caught up right before the end. I’m glad I did too, because it was a bit dramatic.
For the first time in two years, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had the checkered flag within reach.
His agonizing 71-race winless streak was just three laps from ending. All Junior had to do was hold off red-hot Kyle Busch in a stirring showdown between NASCAR’s most popular driver and the kid who got dumped from Hendrick Motorsports for Earnhardt and has rebounded with a sizzling start to the season.
It wasn’t meant to be.
In a classic ending to a typical short-track race, the two drivers collided Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway as they battled for the win a little more than two miles from the finish.
Even though it didn’t work out for Dale Jr. (or Kyle Busch), it was good to see some back and forth action that wasn’t the result of “luck of the draw” even though Clint Bowyer did get the luck of the draw. Wow, that was weird.

Kyle Busch Wins At Talladega
Congratulation to Kyle Busch for winning at Talladega.
Kyle Busch fell a lap down midway through the race, and after racing his way back into contention, needed an awesome save to keep himself from triggering a massive crash.
“Typical Talladega,” he thought.
Only this time, the crash happened behind Busch. Instead of leaving Talladega Superspeedway with a smashed-up car, he drove into Victory Lane. The kid who couldn’t conquer Talladega finally won at the harrowing track Sunday, and in this breakout season for Busch, it was only fitting that he coasted to the victory.
“I’d like to say that I’m smarter than I look, but that’s certainly not the case,” Busch said. “Today was just due to having a great car. Getting a lap down, that was like, ‘Oh, typical Talladega’ there. But I didn’t wreck today and I was definitely happy of that, and I was greatly appreciative that I was able to win today because it’s certainly been a struggle for several years.
I must say though, the race was quite boring. So far this year, I have seen two great races, all the others were boring as hell. NASCAR may want to “even the playing field” by making all the cars the same, but I tell you one thing, if they keep things so “even”, I won’t be tempted to watch much more.
